“To Tie the Knot or Not” Bringing back your all-time favorite. With her “steyup, steyup,” Freda Wood had audiences rolling with laughter. “I laughed til I cried” was the often repeated comment. Other zany, serious, and loveable characters make up the cast in a plot that throws two entirely different families together when their adult children fall in love and make plans for their wedding. The hilarious twists and turns and the surprising but heartwarming ending have made this our most asked for play. You cannot see this one anywhere else except in The Attic. Come out and see it for the first time, or enjoy it all over again.

    Dinner Theater – June 1, 2 and 8, 9 -
“I Remember You” is a story about Carrie, a successful middle-aged artist and Paul, a middle-aged banker. As young adults, they were very much in love and even discussed marriage. However, they took different paths and each married someone else. Thirty years later when Carrie reads of Paul’s wife’s death, she sends him a sympathy note, and now – years since they last saw each other – he shows up unannounced at her door. Comic moments abound as each “Older” Carrie and Paul is accompanied by a “Younger” Carrie and Paul, allowing you to hear their inner thoughts and visualize some wonderful memories. Will they rekindle their romance or is it too late? How have they changed? Come join us for an evening of delicious food and great entertainment as we present “I Remember You” at the Fincastle United Methodist Church Family Life Center, June 1st, 2nd, 8th and 9th. Reservations are required. Call 540-473-1001 to make reservations. Seating is limited.

Summer Musical – Four Weeks of Celebration! – Aug. 2,3, 4; 9,10, 11; 16, 17, 18; and 23, 24, 25 ”From Sea to Shining Sea” The Attic has been selected to help commemorate Jamestown 2007.
This fantastic musical production begins with scenes from the “founding” of Jamestown and fast forwards to Thomas Jefferson and Fincastle’s role in history. Many historical, wonderful, and funny characters come alive on stage including Uncle Sam and the “dancing bill of rights.” A grand finale celebrates all the nations and people of the world who make America great. Comedy, drama, and history are wrapped in an intriguing plot with thoroughly entertaining singing and dancing. You may want to plan ahead and reserve seats early for this one. It is being advertised nationally and internationally.

Holiday Show – Nov. 29, 30, Dec.1 and Dec. 6, 7, 8 – “A Tuna Christmas” If you liked “Greater Tuna” you will love this hilarious sequel. It is Christmas in the third smallest town in Texas. Radio station OKKK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities and the current big event is the annual lawn display competition. Socialite Vera Carp hopes to win for the fifteenth year in a row, but she faces stiff competition from Didi Snavely, the crusty proprietor of Didi’s used weapons and from Inita Goodwin and Helen Bedd, the cowboy-loving Tastee Kreem waitresses. To make matters worse, there is a Christmas phantom, and Joe Bob Lipsey’s production of “A Christmas Carol” is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. It is a laugh-filled evening, and as in Greater Tuna, all the roles are played by two actors. “The hilarity never lets up.”
